Product and terminology distinctions
Crusher run commonly contains a range of particles and fines, but exact grading varies. It is not automatically identical to road base or crushed stone.
Worked example
A path is 11.5 m by 1.4 m, with two 0.6 m × 0.6 m drainage grates excluded. Net area is 16.1 − 0.72 = 15.38 m². At 80 mm, or 0.08 m, volume is 1.2304 m³.
The example uses geometry only. It does not insert a density, package size, recommended depth or supplier tolerance.
How to discuss the result with a supplier
Confirm the local product name, maximum particle size, fines proportion and whether the quote is mass or volume. Do not import a density from an unrelated crusher-run product.
