Calculating cubic metres
Convert all dimensions to metres and multiply. A bed 3.8 m long, 1.6 m wide and 125 mm deep uses 0.125 m depth, so volume is 3.8 × 1.6 × 0.125 = 0.76 m³. Preserve full precision until the displayed result.
Litres and cubic metres
One cubic metre equals exactly 1,000 litres. This helps compare a bulk volume with packages labelled in litres, but package count still requires the capacity of the exact product. A litre conversion does not identify density or mass.
